The first picture of the RAF’s Future Transport Aircraft (FTA) has been released by the Ministry of Defence. This is a Vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft for transporting special-ops forces to hostile areas. The Technology behind it involves a blended-wing-body design with six jet engines powering lift fans and providing forward thrust.
A MoD spokesperson stated that it has been specially designed with no windows so that the special-ops personnel it will be carrying would not be able to look out and see which country Tony Blair had sent then to. This was an important feature in their ability to fight his next war.
As the Prime Minister was due to retire in the summer of 2007, he felt that this was a vital step forward for the RAF Future Area Rapid Containment Elite mobility force (FARCE) as he had only 4 months of his time left to fight the remaining 3 more wars he had planned against Muhammad Omar and the Taliban, Bin Laden and Al'Qieda and David Cameron and the Conservatives.
The aircraft is due to test flight on 1 Apr 2007.
