Hi, no worries. Without knowing all the details I would say that they will be on a reserve date and just waiting for a place. Don't worry about being binned, this SHOULD NOT happen. What indeed happens is they will be put on a reserve as you said. There will be no more recruiting for these jobs so there will be no more people added to the reserve list. As soon as the list becomes active then your son will be in. Rrather simple I know but if you want a more detailed explanation then I can e-mail you or better still, contact your AFCO.
