Hi Geordie

Thanks for taking the time to answer my reply. Son going thru AFCO Glasgow. I phoned recruiting cpl few weeks ago and what he said was that all the firefighter courses up to the end of the year had basically been halfed. what im wondering is as the 6 who were left on the june 10 recruits course had obviously better selection scores than the 6 who they decided to bin, would my son and the rest of the guys be put onto the next available course or would they come behind guys who had done specialist selection after them but who had subsequently got better marks in the selection tests. sorry hope i worded that ok lol.

any advice appreciated. im trying to keep my son cheered up. its really hard.

Hope you dont mind me contacting you. Posted an earlier thread ref ma son. Was due to start june 10 at halton as fftr but him and half the intake have been pulled off the course and stuck as reserve. if they dont get picked up, would they be put back to the next intake or would they be binned all together. just raging. ma son is gutted. tam

By your post about Swinders I would suggest you were on the same intake as me, I was on 5 Flt, 1 Sqn with Cpl Meston and Sgt Boyden.
