  • Travel prospects are pretty good with places such as Cyprus, Gibraltar and Afghan all offering work.
Be prepared to be deployed to the Falklands on a 4 month detachment fairly early on too. There are worse places to be and you will get to travel around the mountain sites via helicopter which all helps in making time pass quickly.
Don't expect to be posted to Cyprus directly from training. This has not been formally **** canned but I do know it has been agreed by draftees and trade hierarchy to make every attempt to post personnel on second tours.
Life in the trade is pretty good if you like being busy and are prepared to be moved around a fair bit. You are most likely to be posted to Leeming on completion of basic trade training. There are three Regional servicing teams that are an additional posting choice but this is down to availability and with only two AC ranks at each this is limited.
    Hope this helps.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.

Bascially looking for pros and cons of the job, typical week in the job, travel prospects, best bits, worse bits, anything worth knowing or taking into consideration about the job. Just general overview really, also cyprus, what are chance of getting that posting if you want it? The message function seems to be shagged at moment, did reply to orignal message on sunday and only just seen your other posting on my profile, tried sending message today but that not gone through either so can get me on the email if that would be easier.

    Cheers for your help!
