Hey dude, well if you are gonna be working on vass, should be a sweet deal, al udied is pretty easy if somewhat boring for the "permies" the brit bar is quite relaxed on the 3 can rule, the swimming pool is great (never bothered as too busy) for relaxing, plenty of phones/computer's in welfare cabin, get down to doha if you can, good to get out and away from the "yanks", food is good if samey, the sqn lads (ie peeps like me) are good, just avoid the managment 
there is plenty to do, lots of organised trips etc there are two BX's the small one on our bit, and a bigger one with other facilities you can't miss it, there is also a shoppet on the op's side, take a laptop with you, or dvd player. There are TV's floating about the accom side, the rooms are ok, not great, however they are livable once you get used to the air can racket. The laundry has a three day turn round, and generally don't lose your kit, take a mix of dessies and civvies for off camp run's. There should be wireless in the Bra now, not sure, as they put it in just before we left.
Most peeps helpful and cheerful, all l can say is enjoy.
