Just had a look on the channel 4 web site, and have been trying to suss out how to watch it online, I think I might need to try the 4 on demand service but I dunno if you have to pay for that or not.

I will see if I can get it else where

1983: The Brink Of Apocalypse

November 8, 1983 is now recognised as one of the most dangerous moments in the history of the Cold War, when a series of accidents nearly unleashed World War III. On this near-fateful day senior figures in the Soviet Union had convinced themselves that they were about to come under nuclear attack from the West.

In case you cannot get a recording. But maybe repeated on C4 - no info at present.

I was involved in this and I didn't even know it. Oh the irony. :0

The real irony is that armageddon was partly prevented by the Soviets having a spy at the top of NATO and us having a spy at the top of the KGB. :PDT_Xtremez_06:

Sorry FOMZ did not record but its well worth a watch…

Well made and put together with great backing music…

Fascinating programme - I missed it totally the first time around. Before I waste time on Amazon does anyone know if this has been made into a book?
