The draw for the 2010 World cup is at 1500. Other than England v Scotland all other British permutations are possible. But the more important thing for England is in my opinion would the out come of the draw influence who would except the England job ? I.E would Mourinho take the job if England were draw against Portugal and like wise with Fabio Capello and Italy ?

Good Lucky all the home nations, but somebody is gonna end up playing in the end of the continent like Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan.
 
Iraq - V - Australia will be a good match to watch. The Iraqis are quite a good team.
 
Russia, Finland, WALES, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein whooops
ENGLAND, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Andorra

There is some serious airmiles there.

Holland will be too good i fear. Need to beat Norway home and away and win the rest of our home games.
Hopefully show the English how to beat macedonia as well.
Shame for NI they have a tough group.
 
England should do fine in that group, need 4 points against Ukraine.

Last time we played Holland at hmapden we won 1-0. But i think they should easily win group.
And we beat Norway 2-0 in Norway the last time we played, Uqalifiers for 2006.
Macedonia at Hampden is must win and we should beat Iceland who we managed to beat twice under Vogts.

NI have Poland and the Czechs, 2 teams that have qualified for the Euros and the last World Cup and have a good group of players.

Wales have Germany and Russia. And only one team goes through automatically so they are up against it.
 
I was a unsure how the "best 8 second place teams" were decided as there are 8 groups of 6 and 1 group of 5. But this is how there are doing it. The nine group-winners will qualify directly, while the highest ranked eight of the nine second-placed teams will contest home and away play-off matches for the remaining four places. In determining the rank of second-placed teams, only results against those finishing 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th will be counted.
Seems fair to me....
 
Well would you believe it, looks like Croatia are our new Poland, i.e. keep getting drawn against.
So, a chance for some revenge or yet another box of eggs on the face :PDT_Xtremez_26:

The man's prophet I tell you, any chance of next weeks lottery numbers while your on a roll. England should qualify from the group I really can't see us being that bad twice more against Croatia.

What about the World Cup quarter finalists?
England need 4 points against Ukraine and Croatia to have any chance.
