Has anyone seen any proper info on numbers yet? I got a bulletin in work from the JFCIS Adj saying they are after 186 SAC's this year. That seems like a hell of alot. Where the hell did they get 186 Cpl slots from?? Are there even that many SAC's as an A Grade??

Number of 'A' Grades are worked out after the Promotion Quota is released, in this case 185, so double that and add 2 and thats the number of 'A' Grades required by the board. So you're looking at around 372 'A' Grades for this year.

Probably around a third of the SAC's I'd imagine.

Goodness so in all probability the sac's with seniority and a positive rec will be promoted.

Folk wonder why the trade is going down the swanny!!!?

On the promotion board schedule on the manning website it says 80 which sounds more realistic. Another 80 for 90SU:PDT_Xtremez_34:

when does the board sit this year
14th to 25th November according to the Manning Website. I would wait until the list comes out sometime after the 25thfor any Gen, The Cpl - Sgt Ratified list was out the day after the board finished..... Spamout

I'm fingers crossed for my husband to come of this board. He can't check though as he's not at work for a week and on a course :PDT_Xtremez_42: Good luck all x

Thanks, he did eventually. Hard when it is crossed lines and everyone concerned is out. Anyway just found out he came way in the top lot as an immediate. :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Congrats for him. There's a few very unhappy and very angry people out there after the results.
There always is mate, every year we go (and will continue going) round in circles about how so and so didnt deserve it, because I ambetter/have been in longer/kissed more ar5e/not an ex TCO/not an ex Techie. And unfortunately as it sounds every year there are oneor two that most people will just be thinking "why in the hell was he promoted?"But all I can say is congrats to those who get it this year, commiserations to those that didn't. Fingers crossed that a few drop out, because then there is a chance that one of our lads will get his tapes.
