Does anyone know what this DIN is that is 'forthcoming' on the Defence Intranet? The reason i'm asking is that the grapevine is talking and muting it may be an updated version of the redundancies for the RAF! Not wanting to listen to rumours, and with admin not knowing anything i'm just wondering if any fellow goaters know what it is! Thanks in advance.

No, it's the 12th DIN released in Category 1 - Personnel. DIN's come in Categories - Personnel 01, Security and Int 02, Defence Policy and Operations 03, Defence Equipment and Estate 04, etc etc so on so forth. There's a rundown in Defence Intranet -> Reference -> DIN's. The title format is YYYYDINCAT-SERIALNO so 2014DIN01-012 is the 12th DIN released for Category 1 in the year 2014.

Thank you for the reply. I don't access Dii much as it's difficult where I work. I use Airspace. Airspace already has 01-14 on it. On the Defence Intranet it has 'forthcoming' for 01-12 and 'current' for 01-14. Still anyone know what 01 - 12 is pointing at?

14 is to do with Naval redundancies. RAF redundancies have already been published in another DIN. I suspect I know what 12 is, but as I have been threatened with death on the topic and my identity isn't exactly hard to work out where there's only 4 of my rank and trade here, I'll be keeping quiet. Sorry! ;)

Just reading the RAF News and it mentions Tranche 4. It also mentions in the artice about other cutting measures in that "fewer extensions" will be offered. Anyone got any further info on this?

From what has happened to a lot of SAC medics it means that when they hit there 9 or perhaps 12 year point there's no chance of re-engaging. It's led to a huge loss of morale and that will probably increase as we approach 2020 under DMS20 when the decimation of TG15 will really start.
