greetings pondlife(and ex pondlife)252 here.

Have just joined so thought i would say hello.

Joined in 1980,PVR 1989,charged 24 times(and formal written warning) in between!.

Worked as composite mech on Tornado at Cottesmore,first ground crew to get his name painted on a Tornado(and the first to have it taken off again)then after fitters course(TAR FT 65:L TECH AR)posted as missionary to Leuchars Missile City to preach ohms law to bomb heads
and fix thier tv`s and stereos.

Would be nice to here from any C shift lineys 1980 to 1984.

A couple of questions for you. If you spent as much time being the focus of Orderly Room procedures and Q.R's as you claim.

Why did it take 9 years to shift you to your rightful status, i.e civilian?

Once you got there, did you find civvy street receptive to your anti-authoritarian point of view?

If we are 'pondlife', where are you?
 
There was once a time when the RAF had loads of 252's and looking back we now call them characters not all of them were really that bad.

Good to see things havent changed that much with the good guys(and gals)outnumbering the cabbages by about 4 to1.

My appoliges to the Mardyrigger for my poor ratio of charges to years
but i did break into the NAAFI once just didnt get caught!.
 
Welcome 252,had a line full of 252,s When on the lead great lads/lineys.When off the lead a total nightmare.Had to be vicious but fair to keep them in check,sound lads.

I was charged once..... I wore a wonder-bra and fake eyelases on the day it was read and my Sqn Ldr dismissed the charge! ;)
 
Nice tatics RAF BIRD,unfortunatley when i tryed that i got an extra 7 days jankers!.
On the level though me mate Tots once wore his girlfriends sussies under his No2 trousers when up on a fizzer(well to be honest he wore them most days!).
