A pal of mine sent me an idea. I thought it was worth it:-

When filling out your Christmas cards, take one card and send it to this address: Headley Court Military Hospital, Headley Court, Headley, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 6JN.
If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these special people who have sacrificed so much for...us would get. KEEP the address
Just Address it to "A Hero"

Maybe just a small way of saying "thanks" ?

Apparently all of the cards have to be opened as a security screen before being given out.

I had this posted on my F/B page after I posted Ex's idea;

Not knowing the set up at Headley Courst just wondering how many "inmates" have access to computers on a daily basis to see facebook etc ?

Seems a bit bah humbugish to me (which normally suits me !!) and would have thought the sight of all the cards would lift their spirits more (along with maybe a free pint or 2 !)

I'd rather have a real card sent with genuine feelings, than a electronic freeby.

Incidentally, would a card to a Hero at Selly Oak be of benefit ? And what's their address ?
