Must have been a sizeable beast...

Hit an upland goose down in FI once. Took it on the leading edge of the port mainplane 8' in form from the wingtip and we felt the aircraft slew to the left.

It is still surprises me even after many years of "Tin Bashing" just how much damage something of only a few pounds made of nothing more than blood, beak, bones and feathers can do to the metal structure of an aircraft.

Looks like loads of work there wiring looms, system pipelines, static stuff and that's before we even contemplate the tin bashing part of it, post repair pressure tests, functioning other stuff plenty to keep you busy there.

A stork or a big goose is a lot of engery with 1/2MV squared. Is the A400M in RAF service a state aircraft totally under MAA or like Vovager (Air Tanker).

A good repair coming up, will allow for maintenance manuals to be proof read / put to use, and 1st / 2nd review as required.
