Evening all..

I'm currently based at an RAF station in deepest darkest Lincolnshire, where I live out in an MQ.
On the 8th of this month, I had to visit another unit in the West Country where I had to stay overnight. I submitted the appropriate visits paperwork and was authorised to claim MMA as no MT was available.

Happy Days........NOT

Checked my pay statement on JPA today, only to find I'd been billed 97 quid food from the 8th to the end of this month. I phone PMF (UPO in RAFspeak) to be told by the young SAC that this month, the pay run was on the 8th, so whilst they moved and tracked me out and started my food charges, when I returned the next day on the 9th, the pay run had already gone off and that they were unable to move and track me back to the unit in time. So, I get charged 3 weeks food instead of 1 night.

I find this pretty hard to believe, so before I head in there in person and shred his face for him, I thought I'd ask whether anyone on here in a far better position than I would be able to tell me whether he was telling me the truth, or whether, as I suspect, they just didn't bother/remember to move and track me back in time.

Any advice and/or intelligence gratefully appreciated

The first pay run was done on the 8th as the clerk stated, we can then check to see if things have worked before the actual pay run, we can then resubmit stuff, this month the second pay run was done on the 16 Jul. This info is available for all to see on the JPA Portal frontpage.

The questions that spring to mind are; firstly, did you inform the clerk that you were back so they could move & track you and stop your food charges and secondly, why were your parent unit starting your charges on the 8th as it's not their task, it should be done by the PMF at the unit you were going to?

Ask to look at the Move & Track record for you as well as your food & accom screen to see what dates the inputs were submitted. You will be able to see then if the jobs were done on time or someone made an error!!

Good Luck
