This is starting to get to me now.

Mrs Dangerfcuk has bought me an Acer Aspire 5720Z laptop, (early Crimbo Pressie) with Vista Home Premium.
Good wifey I thought. I just cant seem to connect to the Tinterweb with it.
The modem is a ADSL Sagem f@st 800-840 and trying to connect to Tiscali.
I have the lastest modem driver for the laptop and installed but it just sits there with no sync, "error 680" no dial tone.
Unplug the USB cable and it un -installs the modem.

Any help would be brilliant.

PS: It works fine on my XP pro desktop.

I had that modem, I'll gather some more info and get back to you with some specifics.

Ok, looking about, Sagem have released some Vista compatable drivers. You can get them here -> http://www.sagem.com/support/site/driver/SAGEM-Fast800-A_4_8.zip

Also if it prompts for a manual connection setup (mine did under XP) heres the details you need for Tiscali.

Probably not, but it's true!!

Wireless routers are getting cheaper and cheaper, and seen as the laptop is fairly recent, you can bet your bottom dollar it's got wireless enabled.
