Joined 1976 as a Nav Insty, spent time at Odiham, Sealand, Northolt, back to Cosford as an instructor, then finally Bruggen on Tonkas. Left in 1989, then became a civil servant working for the Army (REME) the Navy (FAA) and the PE (Boscombe Down). Now working in engineering safety (NOT health & safety, thank you!) in the railway industry.

Miss the banter so much...rarely do I get the chance to indulge in a decent quality mutual p1sstaking session these days... :-~

Did you work on the airfield?:PDT_Xtremez_07:

cheers, thanks for the welcome!

Welcome aboard. I've got to agree, most civvies just 'don't get' a good wind-up do they.

Luckily, most of the civvies I worked with at first were ex-services, and most knew how to give and take. The Pongoes at Middle Wallop were good at dishing it out, but not so good when the tables were turned...as one of their old colleagues said "they don't like it up 'em!"

Define "work".

Yes...521 hangar and workshops for a while. Loved the former, hated the latter...

I thought so - many of your former colleagues are still working there
