Hello everybody!
Can anybody confirm whether the age limits are the same for new applicants and in-service applicants. Are the age limits on the careers web page set in stone or is there flex to them?
I'm currently in service and thinking of Pilot, Air Traffic and Wsop (which I know is not commissioned and not recruiting currently).
I had somebody say that I am too old for pilot but I'm not 100%. (I'm 28!)
Any gen would be appreciated, cheers!

I'm sure you're definitely too old for pilot and nav unless you are NCA.

If you go to the RAF Recruiting pages on the Cranwell Intranet site, have a dig around and you should find the page with the entry reqts. You are too old to be a Pilot (the upper age limit is be in training by your 27th birthday unless you're serving NCA then it goes to 31). The rules for serving airmen (SA) are different than for direct entrants and some limits are slipped to the right. I will PM you the site path later to the required gen later if you have any dramas finding it.

Would appreciate the site path Warwick. I'm not in work for a day or so, and live off so any gen would be great! Thanks.:raf:

Youre just as well ringing the AFCO tbh, they'll give you the gen without the JSP legwork and let you know how what the latest situation is regarding recruitment.
