AIP question ...

I'm trade group 1 cpl trying to smash in an AIP (Q-PI-B) using B-TECH NC level 3, obtained at cosford and distance learning, the adminers wont put my AIP through and have e mailed the trade sponsor who says 'it can be used provided the qualification has not been obtained from attending service training'.

I've read the JSP 754 and it doesn't mention anything about service training.

anybody got any experience with this recently?

This could be fallout from the AIP Audit. I would guess that doing it through Cosford would count as service though.

Any Q-PI-B, C or D needs written authority from the Trade Sponsor for every application. Its mad, but that's the fallout from this audit. My SAC writes to the MTD TS about 4 times a month asking if a certain qualification is ok (Even though it has been for the last 6 years and is listed in the GAI/JSP). I think the TS has a template now, as his replies look pretty much the same now!

Until the TS says "Yes", then it will not be input by HR.

Have noticed the same thing from that, and a couple of other, TS's. Painful process but avoids the calamity of last time.
