AIP's for AMM's

Hey there

Does anyone know if you can use A-Levels in physics and maths for AIP's whilst being an AMM SAC? we know you can use BETC level 3's and NVQ level's but it doesn't say awhere about A-Levels

not sure but my advice would be to hold on to the potential AIP until you finish further training, that way it's worth more to you.

An AMM I know used an AIP for his degree, then once he did his FT course he still ended up on level 5 higher pay like the rest of us, and so wasted one. You might as well wait until you're out of tossford round 2.

it's just if we are on squadron for 30 months now after this tranche 1, some of us AMM's are thinking of putting them in just so we can get a better pay before we go back to Cosford. But most of us have A-Levels and not BETCs or NVQ's

Who's to say you'll be on the squadron for 30 months? It may be longer if you have to earn your place on FT.
