Just wondering if any goaters out there have experienced the airbag warning light coming on, it came on today for the first time, and even with stopping the engine and starting it again (this works for other lights that come on!) its still on. :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Have read a couple of the forums on it, but some say take to dealer, some say ignore it and others say it will stop the airbag working!

I have not long took it into the garage, had to have a new airflow meter...and pipes, so not sure if it is linked to that work being done?

Any help/advise would be appreciated.

Cheers :PDT_Xtremez_30:

It's a sensor under the seat, just disconnect it clean and reconnect, happened to mine ages ago.

the airbag warning light could be illuminated by numerous sensors or a control module, or even a faulty airbag.

Main usual problem I've seen is from the pre-tensioners for the seat belts, these pull in the seat belt in the event of a accident to lock of the main belt and stop you going forward.

It's also an MOT fail if it's lit, or if it fails to come on for a set time when the main ignition is switched on, so no taking the bulb out ;)

Plugging a machine into any modern OBDII reader will usually reveal where the fault lies.
