So about three months ago I finally had to get myself a couple of new pairs of strides. Since then I've been getting really itchy legs (just the legs, it's not the crabs, that's a different itch altogether). They get better by Sunday then it starts up again on a Monday evening, the only thing I can put it down to is these new blue trousers.

I've tried changing washing powders etc, and various different creams. Gonna get down the Med Centre and see what the doc says.

Anyone else had any problems?

I got a new pair last week and my legs are itchy. They also cling due to static on my hairy legs !
By the end of the shift cycle they get a bit annoying.

I got a new pair a couple of weeks back, Ive now got 2 odd bald patches on my outer calves from either the crap material rubbing or me itching.

Reaction to RAF uniform is nothing new.

Firstly the 'Hairy Marys' that were like wearing Scotch Brite around your thighs then back in 85 we were issued with 2 pairs of lightweight No 2 blue trousers. Out on Green Flag we had a SNCO rushed into hospital because of a reaction to his new trousers.

What you want to ask for is a THREADS form (I think thats what they are called) and complain that way as well.

Aye, same here, the calves are the worst for some reason.

Med centre and stores it is.

So that's why after 27 odd years I have no hair on the backs of my calves then? I thought it was because I was badly sunburnt when I was younger......well there you go.

I suppose we will soon have an outbreak of skirts being nicked off the Wafblock lines. Or tights. '85 all over again.

I reckon a lot of WRAF must suffer from this. Just after joining and first exposure to these trousers
they suffer a lot of swelling around the arse and legs, and cant wait to get them offer at the first opportunity!!
