Many of you have heard of Norton House at Headley Court Military Rehab Centre! This house allows the families of injured soldiers to spend quality time with them while they recover from injury.

This appeal is to allow the house to be decorated for Xmas
.
Could you donate JUST ONE christmas bauble/strand of tinsel/window sticker etc and send it to

SSAFA Norton House - Headley
36 Grays Lane
Ashtead
Surrey
KT21 1BU

If you can pop a little card or message in with it to show your support for them that would be lovely. Mark your parcel 'XMAS DECORATION' so they know what is in there!!

I think the baubles are just about covered going by the awesome response I got via PM from various Goaters (you know who you are!:PDT_Xtremez_14:)

Anyhow,I have been in contact with the manager at Norton House with regards to what the families (the are three families forcast at present to be there over Christmas) do for Christmas dinner ect.

I recieved this reply from Mike;

have just been in contact with Mike Turner,who is the manager of SSAFA Norton House with regards to what happens over Christmas for the families & I got this reply;

We are trying to ensure that all that you listed is proved, so would welcome any support.

We hope that for the families that are unable to go home will be able to arrive with everything already in place, we have been promised goods, but like most promises they tend to fall away for whatever reason.

The families self cater during there stay, but we are hoping that Christmas day cooking will be covered by a volunteer chef, but this is very much dependant on what the families want.

We are contacting families as they book for Christmas, so hopefully we will have a clear picture of what they would like.

Regards

Mike

Now I know it's asking a lot but would any goaters be able to help out by sending tins of choccies,biscuits,nuts ect as these may be outside the budget especially as the families have more urgent matters to think about.

Heck,would anyone be able to arrange for the mess at RAF Headley Court be able to extend their services & cook/provide a chef for Christmas day for the families?

Thanks again,

Spike
