Anyone read this supposedly unbiased view on the Falklands war by an Argentine Army occifer on exchange with the US Army?

I also like how it states on page 37 how we asked the US if we could use Ascension island as a staging base. Didn't realise we had handed it over to the yanks too!!!

This idiot drivels on about how they didn't 'surrender' and that the mighty british armed forces were given a bloody nose by the conscript Argentine Army! Bollocks.......

History is written by the victors and you lost you daft tw4t.

...erm - I remember them being asked as it was their base we were about to use - It was explained as a bit like trying to move back into the house you'd just rented out. Although the island is UK territory - the airfield (was then) still a US Base with no UK personnel on it. I think the only "UK" people on the island were BBC technicians and some scientists.

And every historic event has at least two tales told about it, especially wars. Maybe you should read British history from a Russian's view? (or French or American even?) Quite different from our "published" view and sometimes quite enlightening. Just because it is different doesn't necessarily mean it is not true.

? Any one remember that?

They are still convinced of this, although I know people who served on Invicible for years and found no evidence that this was the case.

A pretty elaborate cover up if it really did happen.

I work with a few people from South America and wish I had a pound for every time I was asked about the Invincible's so called bomb damage. They are convinced it was hit.

Blimey, where to start. Anyone else noticed that by the end he stops bothering to call them Malvinas/Falklands and just refers to them as the Malvinas. Is that in the hope that if he says it often it will happen. he doesn't bother to mention the times we offered talks and they refused. Also seems to be a case of "Our brave submariners" against "Those evil, naughty British Submariners". Just reeks of, Its not our fault honest, he says that the inhabitants were put there so we have no claim, yet, as there was no indiginous population surely any Argie inhabitants would be the same, therefore, they would have no claim.

Also, did anyone else lose the plot with the coloured diagrams at the end, i know I'm an Armourer but even I couldn't follow the crayon.
