If, like me, you support a team from the lower leagues you will know how sparse the crowds can be.

Especially on a Monday night at an away match.

Well, spare a thought for this fella.... linky....

He was on business when his team in Italy, Udinese, were due to play Sampdoria. So as he was in the area he popped along.

Unbeknownst to him, he was THE ONLY fan to turn up to support his team.

Luckily for him, they won 2-0! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

So, what's the worst turn out of fans you've ever seen for your beloved club?

Thats a great story but a little worrying for Serie A. In the PL 0 traveling fans is unheard of, even for clubs who are notorious for poor away support.

First time i`ve seen that for a league game. Its fairly common for there to be very low attendances in the cup games, even when its Serie A versus Serie A, literally below a hundred in a 50,000 seater stadium.

Makes you wonder how a Euro league would fair.

Once went to see Peterborough v Hartlepool, there were 6 Hartlepool fans. They were outnumbered by the police but still managed to invade the pitch.

Even the Mighty Accrington Stanley struggle to get hordes of loyal fans to away games. We played Shrewsbury away on a nice summer Saturday afternoon when we were in the conference there was perhaps 45 Stanley fans in the old Gay meadow. Cr@p game to which ended 0-0
