Help, we work for a band C civil servant (ex Army Major) who has over the last 2 reporting periods failed to write the SNCOs apprasils on time. We are looking at anywhere from 11months to 18 months late.
Any advice...please

(background, due to this, one SNCO is having to leave as missing the promo board, I have missed one (classed a C grade) and probally miss the next one in March. )

You're a SNCO?? Thank god you're not writing my assessments! :PDT_Xtremez_42::PDT_Xtremez_14:

Advise you go and speak to your chief clk... he will advise you further.

I think that I would defer writing assessments for someone with a command of our language as such.
Is it inability, or just too lazy to proof read what you have just written?
I think the latter.............!

He didn't say he was a SNCO, unless my reading is as bad as his writing! Like RAF Bird said, Chief clerk should be the man. If you don't have one get in touch with your drafter or the promotions cell at manning. They take issues like this extremely seriously.

He does say "failed to write the SNCOs apprasil on time" So I think that we may resonably "presume".

Bleat like fcuk. If youre in DE&S you should have a JPA appraisal clerk on the unit who may be able to advise and bleat on your behalf as well. I'm in DE&S at the moment and have Lynham HR as my poc for RAF specific mattters should I need them; so an RAF chief clerk is available to me should the need arise.

If you have an officer in your command chain, bleat to them and how badly it reflects on the section that appraisals arent being completed on time.

Mine were late last year and I made it very clear that I wouldnt stand for it this year.

You can help your 1st RO by putting together a boast sheet (use a spell checker though!) to remind them that its that time of year again.

I wounld'nt worry about it as there is about to be a promotion freeze anyway..................:PDT_Xtremez_35:

By this sort of time frame, he would be slowly be having his head impact moulded to the shape or a keyboard. A couple of months late is bad but to be over a reporting period late on one reporting period and I'd be asking questions as to why they wern't harrassed about it sooner.
