The Masher clan is off to Benidorm on Wednesday.
Booked a late deal in a 4* hotel HB for 2 weeks.

Anybody else been to Benidorm? I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions based on previous experiences along the lines of eateries, bars and stuff to do.

I have trawled the internet and picked up some good gen, but it's not the same as word of mouth is it?

I see they have several theme parks. Any good?

I am considering trekking up to Barcelona to watch the F1 testing. Does anyone know how long it might take. Judging by the maps it looks like 3 or 4 hours.

We'll probably do a day in Valencia. The place looks really nice.

Looks like it'll be nudging 20C and sunny on Wednesday, beats the ferking rain here!!

I never considered Benidorm before. Came across as crass and common, but after much research and review reading it seems anyone who has been likes the place.

Fingers crossed! It's gotta beat being at work!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Wouldn't be going to Benidorm during the normal holiday period. You should be all right at this time of year. Not too many beer monsters/louts on holiday yet. Hope you get some good weather

Not sure if it'll be open this time of year, but i went to a water park in benidorm. Worth taking the clan there if you like 'water sports'...... snigger snigger........:PDT_Xtremez_26:

Seriously tho, i had a good time there when i went!

Huh huh! Watersports...........

Going there. Its called Aqualandia.

Went to Benidorm about this time 2002. It's very quiet this time of year, no nob-eds chucking everywhere. You will find yourself inundated with the blue rinse brigade as they seem to spend a month or two there around feb-mar.

Had a good time, weather hot enough during the day to sunbathe, needed jacket at night.

I seem to remember that the night time entertainment was geared to the older generation. Lots of comedians but not much live music entertainment. If you get the chance to see a black guy called R White he's hillarious.

Plenty of places to eat on the waterfront if you can battle through the zimmer frames,

hope you have a good break. It is worth going

Terra Mitica theme park just 10 mins on the bus from the centre of Benidorm. Some cracking thrill rides there. Couple of good bars just off from the seafront, Sospan Fach a welsh pub and a Jock bar as well. Nice sandy beach should be quite quiet this time of year unless you plan to watch Wales v Scotland Six Nations match Saturday in the Sospan Fach :PDT_Xtremez_28:

Cheers gents.
I'm up early tomorrow for an early leave. Setting off at 3am :PDT_Xtremez_17: to reach check in for 5.30am.
Done our packing, just waiting to go really....................
We found out that there is a town just down the coast called Villajoyosa, which apparently nicknamed the city of chocolate. Aside from beer, chocolate is my favourite thing! Oh, and breasts!:PDT_Xtremez_15: I wonder if they have chocolate breasts with beer in them :PDT_Xtremez_17:
