Could someone please let me know how to find AP's like the 830 on the intranet.
I can never find anything on any of the publication searches.

pm if necessary.

many thanks

No, why do you think I am joking.

I honestly cant find AP830 on the web. I know its on there, I have seen it before.

Please help.

Why would you want to find something we haven't used for what 5/6 years???

Are you struggling that much to get to sleep???

It was one of those "oh, we've always done it this way" explanations that someone came up with. So I wanted to check the old AP830 to see the wording, and compare with current regs.

So BJW, **** right off.

Fella, I get the feeling you asked for that.

There is a version of the AP830 on the intranet somewhere but it has been archived.

The next time I'm in work I'll dig it out and PM you the link.

I thought you were fishing to be honest. :PDT_Xtremez_42:

My old copy of the AP830 only contained two vols sproog!!!

Used to be available via the Supply Managers Toolkit. The alternative is to search Defence Intranet for "JSP 886" The front page will give you links to the old 830 leaflets, although many have been deleted.

It may be easier to ask the question direct on here, and alzheimers permitting, you may get the answer you were looking for.

Opening myself up for all sorts of abuse here, but before they renamed it to the JSP336 then the JSP886 the AP830 was released on a CD. I happen to have an orginal copy at work somewhere, your more than welcome to have a copy.

Sundance, at least you will be able to recall how things were done properly, before everything was dumbed down for the benefit of another service.

Perhaps if your initial post had been worded better I would have given a more helpful response.

Demise of the JSP 336

Demise of the JSP 336

As i understand it the demise of the JSP 336/AP830 came about when the DIET Team decided it was a great idea to lump the Air & Naval Supply Regs in with the good old Mat Regs and so was born the shambles we have now - the JSP 886.

I have been on several courses with DIET team members and they just don't seem to understand the problems the MOB's DOB's and even IPT's (Sorry PT's) have with the new JSP886. (if youknow which volume to look in the Adobe Search function is getting better to be honest, but I still find Google as the best starting point- what a game of soldiers!!!)
They also refuse to issue it on a CD ROM for deployments and MPA (which has no bandwidth worth talking about) saying amendment control is too difficult.
This is one of my big bug bears at the moment, as anyone who has been at RAF Fenland recently will know!

Before anyone asks I can't remember what DIET stands for but they are the ones who keep changing the regs/rules without telling us! And breath!!!!! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Considering your post on the higher pay band thread I am not suprised at all by this post!!!

I'm grateful for the reply above that answered my question. Not all of us are putting washers in poly bags and stamping voucher registers, I've been doing jobs out of trade for several years and thoroughly enjoying it. Its not until you go OOA tha you realise things have changed. By the way my opinion on the higher pay band will never change.

Which only makes your points even weaker. Perhaps you should get yourself back into trade for a while before posting nonsence comments about a trade you obviously know very little about!!!!

I have done most things in my 17 years which alloys to make comments on this trade, one thing I have learnt is that you need to have a sense of humour, which not everyone seems to have.

The 886 is available on a DVD and a copy can be obtained by contacting the LSC at HQ Air.
