hey

when doing basic training do you learn any kind of modern apprenticeships?

my bf's going into his training next week and mentioned something about it but cant find any info online about it,

Didn't you say your other half is joining as a rock ape?!?

I stood to possibly be corrected by some of our Regt members, but I don't think they do a Modern Apprenticeship as part of their basic/trade training.
 
I think all trades now do an NVQ, something to do with Investors In People.

Techie trades definitely do apprenticeships, not sure about the others, maybe a Rock could comment?

yeah. he starts the TG next week.
the letter, iv just found it to read it, does say he will be doing a modern apprenticeship to be eligeble for an enhanced pay, thats all it says, no word on what kind of apprenticeship. Iv been online having a look to try and out but thought id ask you lot in the know..::P:

Hiya

im going into TG on sunday, mabye il be in the same group as your lad, i saw something about the modern apprenticeships too but im a little murky on the details too. I think we get some classroom time, but as i say im not 100%. just gonna wait and see:PDT_Xtremez_30:

no i dont, to be honest.
i knew there was three guys also from glasgow who done thier pgac but they done theirs three or four weeks before i did mine. i only know that as i was told by my AFCO that one of them failed, and that i had to be prepared for it.
Iv mailed Carston, no reply as yet but it would be pretty cool if her boy was on the same TG, would be someone to chat to on the way down lol
 
of course it is... Just one who has a boyfrind joining rocks next week and a bloke who is joining the rocks next week posting from the same IP address, have the same registration IP etc.

Generally only those who live in the Sergeants mess, or maybe those who've been a two-stripe far too long, or time served JTs, or.....oh wait, yes I think you are 100% right Geordie!!!!

As for SSH adding 2 + 4 and coming up with 7, he's not a bloomin' plumber FFS, only gods trade have such an affliction with numbers!!Off Topic
