Some of the papers have picked up on this.
The Mail's take.

We had a laser range at Cottesmore and Wittering where CCS weapon firing took place.

There also an article in the BBC where he also outlines the same. Normal service has been resumed then, same old same old. Defence always takes a hit as its not a priority for Government, as long as we have some planes, tanks and ships its ok!!!!!!!!!

With all the threats globally, it won't be too long before we end up in another conflict, and we will only be in a position to send a few token gestures. The attrition rate of loss is approx 100 pers a month (Trained strength) and we cannot recruit to replace fast enough to stop it, and it would take 2-3 years to replace those leaving currently.

I honestly don't know what else they can cut, apart from future projects, which then asks what replaces Typhoon or Puma???????????
