I'm looking to buy a mk4 astra 1.7dti and was wondering if any members on here had a cambelt change recently and what the going rate was.
Cheers.

Had a quote for my Toyota fanny magnet at £80 plus parts. Don't forget the new water pump and belt tensioner.
Just scrapped a perfectly good saxo. Tensioner not changed with the belt, tensioner went, belt jumped and valves had a party.
Got a quote for my fronty...................£390............... DT_Xtremez_42:
Bring back timing chains. They just used to rattle a bit! DT_Xtremez_31:
Overhead valves and pushrods, that's the way ahead....Or even better still 2 Stroke
My first two cars were sidevalve..................... DT_Xtremez_42:
Have you tried an independant specialist? Had mine done the other day (Omega 2.2), main dealer £350. Vauxalist in Lincoln £215 all in, inc belt, tensioner, pulleys and water pump.Got a quote for my fronty...................£390............... DT_Xtremez_42:
