Hi everyone,

I'm Shuggy, an ex J/T rigger.
Did 10 years before a posting to the LOX bay at Bruggen forced me to PVR, (it was that or die of boredom).

Spent most of my time on Harriers, (3sqn) 89-94, and a little bit on Tornado.
Even spent a year on crash and smash which was a good laugh.

I've been out for 10 years now and ended up in the Material testing world.
I fiddle with hydraulics, mechanics and electronics - (a jack of all trades and master of none)

I now live in Germany, but this time I can do more than just order a beer:PDT_Xtremez_31:

Auslander.

Auslander.

Grüss Gott aus Bayern und herzlich Wilkommen.

Welcome to another plastic boxhead:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Im down in Bavaria. Enjoy the Goat.

Bavaria eh? I live near Ulm...

It would be nice to live somewhere where they speak German wouldn't it?
:PDT_Xtremez_15:

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's like a japanese chap learning English and then going to Newcastle, Glasgow or the East end of London.

You don't hear a single word you recognise!

Plastic Boxhead, I like that.:PDT_Xtremez_27:

It looks like it. Income tax is higher than UK, but I still seem to have money at the end of the month! and not just a couple of Euro's either!

The cost of living here is great, but it is slowly sliding downhill.
Give it 20/30 years it'll be like UK today.

I hope not of course, just a feeling.

I was in Ulm a few years ago, But I just could not face going up the thousand odd stairs to the top of the church, by fook it was a big'un. But a very nice area from what I remember.

Closer than you think.

I work in Augsburg & live in a village close to Donawourth.

So, your 40mins or so down the 8 from me. Some of the lads in the office are from Ulm.

True. This Bavarian dialect takes some getting used to, but I guess its more Schwabisch your way:PDT_Xtremez_28:

I did the Dom (Cathedral) run ONCE...phew!! It has the longest spire in Germany, and maybe Europe, although the latter Im not sure about...Lots of stairs eh!!

The church is that big I was standing on the far side of the square and still could not fit it all in the shot, I had to take three shots and put the together:PDT_Xtremez_25:

I've been giving some thought to the Plastic boxhead bit, and I must confess to being half German!

My mum was German, although I am NOT a scalie brat!

So I would go so far as to venture that I am more of a," Carbon fibre boxhead".:PDT_Xtremez_27:

Schwabish is mystery, and forget asking a farmer for directions around here!

There was one chap who kept saying, "Woisch", at the end of every sentence.
I later discovered this to be the equivalent of, "Innit".

Sorry, I spelt Woisch incorrectly!
