He has every right to post such a claim...As you have to post similar. This is, afterall, a rumour network that happens to have an awful lot of good info on it too...

As for getting a life, I believe he has one allready...

But they are after Supply instructors in Saudi. Ferk that, I hate that bluddy country & its inhabitants.
But failing that, I've just been offered a job at Kandahar as an air cargo operative. 3 months on, 1 off for 40k p.a tax free, all in theatre expenses & flights paid by the company.
What's the catch? Apart from the Taliban & associated hazards.
2 years of that & my mortgage is almost paid.(Well, a blooming big chunk!!)

Go for it mate. Kandahar is safe as houses compared to elsewhere. That job's a right touch.

The Iraq jobs are paying better than they did when we handed over the site at Basrah to KBR what with the increased likelihood of meeting an incoming mortar whilst out on your dips these days.

I hadnt thought about doing supply overseas(if I dont get back in the RAF), but Im now interested.

Total, more jobs should be coming up in Dhahran with Bae on the Tornado prog. Far more lucrative than rejoining.

I had my CV on the net cos I'm bored to tears doing what i'm doing & an agency approached me. The firm is a Canadian one called ATCO & i'm now awaiting Visa clearance prior to start at the end of Nov. Know someone (ex-auggie) out at Al Udied doing the same for 30k, but that's because it's seen as a non hazardous area.

Hmmmm!! I thought this project was taking place in Tabuk? I take it you are talking about the dismantling of the tonkas.

Now why on earth would any one voluntarily go to Tabuk. That place is easily one of the worst I ever had the misfortune to spend time in. 5 months of pure ****e!!!
I used to get annoyed by people who spent their GW1 in Bahrain getting pieeyed cos they hadn't experienced the joys of living in partially built portacabins 20 miles from work, but now I couldn't give a toss cos I live in Toontown and that's almost as bad!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_15:
 
Must just be the decomissioning of the Tonkas that is taking place in Tabuk. My Dad works for BAe & is moving from Riyadh to go back to Tabuk.
