Right - seeing as there is a dedicated music forum - and there are a lot of musically orientated persons here (hi guys!!!) - I was having a think, and realised some of the great bands I would have loved to see if I had been born 20yrs earlier, or had the money, or whatever.

So - if you had a time machine, and could travel anywhere to see anyone - who would it be?

For me - there are many.

I would have loved to watch Keith Moon drumming with the Who
Led Zep - now that would have been an experience!!
Jimi Hendrix - what a guitarist!

One for SB - I admit - Whitesnake would be good to see - maybe a few years ago when the man was still rather nice!!!!
Oh - and on a totally different level - would have loved to see the Jam too - was just too young at the time to be allowed to go!!

More recently - Y&T - I will get to see them if they tour again!!
And..... the only one I really want to see now........ Thunder.... mind you... you never know about that, seeing as they are touring again this year!!

Anyone else wish they had been born sooner or had more money???

Queen, with Freddie at the helm.

Saw them on the "Magic" tour at Wembley stadium in 1986. Supported by The Alarm, INXS and the Quo.

When I got to Bruggen in '95 every man and his dog was wearing Pink Floyd "Pulse" T-shirts and I couldn't believe that there were so many fans in one place. It wasn't until someone explained that they'd only played at Wegberg the previous month that I felt life wasn't worth living. I got excited when I saw Roger Waters on the same stage as Dave Gilmour at Live 8, but I fear I'll die without seeing them. I have seen Australian Pink Floyd though.

Queen, with Freddie at the helm.

Ditto. Was looking forwards to seeing them live once I moved to the UK and joined up. Sadly, it was not to be as I joined up in 90:PDT_Xtremez_21:

Also wish I'd seen:
Led Zep
Metallica when Cliff Burton was alive.
The Rolling Stones (in the late 60's)
The Doors
Faith No More when Jim Martin was still in the band (they went a bit odd after he left)
Thin Lizzy

Some of the bands I wanted to see but couldn't because of being banned by parents, Money or just wrong place wrong time are in no particular order:

Led Zepp
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Saxon
Queen
Guns & Roses
Thin Lizzy

Guns N Roses
Queen
Black Sabbath
Faith No More
Vixen, crap music, but gorgeous girls
ZZ Top
The Who
Steve Vai
Motorhead, Wrexham Racecourse late 70's, was only 5!!!
Metallica
Megadeath
Anthrax

Saw Thunder tho, early 90's at the UEA!!!

Supertramp (got all the Albums)

Queen (seems to be a fav with people)

Whitesnake 1981 again, when Marsden and Moody were hitting the strings. Saw this line up in St Austell, but it was always the best line up.

Boston at Wembley in either 1976 or 78.

Rush on the Farewell to Kings tour at Wembley.

Rush, any tour in Toronto. Home gig has gotta be better than the rest !

Thunder I'd like to attend the jam they did in Japan for MTV unplugged. I watched on TV, but the atmosphere looked incredible.

I'll think of some more on the way home :PDT_Xtremez_31:

OK, you've got a point

Here's more for my list:

Rainbow at the Budokan

Good call again - big soft spot for them!
Among others I wish I had seen - guess I need to add.....

Rush
Alice Cooper
Deep Purple
Kix
and a little more up to date (but not much!)
Jet
Crossfade
Stratovarius
Dream Evil
Nightwish

To be honest - the list could be endless..... so I wont mention any more!!

At the risk of breaking up this "metal love-in"......

I'd have given my right ball to have seen The Clash.

Well I cant fault you for that one!
The Sex Pistols should be on my list too - a lot to thank them for!!

I'm with Bengo. Queen and Pink Floyd.

And also the Stones, when they were good. Not now.
