Sometimes an act can get ideas above itself and tries to make an impression in a way that nobody appreciates. They fcuk up big time and dissappear.
KLF were one such band who passed under my radar when they were around in the late 80's early 90's, but I stumbled across some of their stuff on YouTube and realise I didn't appreciate how good they were. If you've not heard any of their stuff before, KLF aka Dave Drummond and Jimmy Cauty had a thing about a triplogy of books which contained references to the Justified Ancients of Mu-Mu, shortened to The Jamms, and hence this appears in a lot of their songs.
KLF screwed up at the Brit Awards by chucking a dead sheep on stage and doing some other crazy sh1t. They were vilified and vanished without trace almost overnight.
One of my favourite KLF numbers is Last Train to Trancentral, not least beause of the piece in the white who sings the line 'come on take me for a ride'. I fcukin wish!!!
