Does anyone know what is classed as a banned substance within the armed forces. IE something that the CDT team would not be happy about?

Is there a list?

There is a list of sorts here , however with the link to "Misuse of Medicines and Pharmaceuticals" I would suggest this is not wholly exhaustive.

Anything that gets you off your tits and makes you check over both shoulders before paying for it would probably qualify. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

If it's something you even think the CDT team might be interested in, then they probably are. :PDT_Xtremez_32: As a simple rule of thumb, if you have to ask the question about any substance you wish to take, then unless you want a rapid end to your service career, best avoid it to be on the safe side. :PDT_Xtremez_15:

Anything that is classed by the civ pol as illegal its the same for us plus in most SSO's there is a bit about substances that affect you abilty to perform your job in a safe manner so stuff like 'poppers' whilst may be legal outside are deemed illegal within the military as are other things.

If you can't buy it in a pub from the barman (not the dodgy guy in the toilet) or it wasn't prescribed to you, don't take it.

Slightly Off Topic but not worth a new thread.

But connected with CDT. If asked to be a monitor can you refuse ? serious question. Or do they actually ask beforehand if you`re ok with it ?

Most units will have nominated personnel to act as Monitors or sections that are required to nominate people but here they just nominate those people they want to get rid of for a few hours so you'll be first one in the queue after you upset our colleague!!

Speaking hypothetically - if you're told you're going to be a monitor, sorry to sound harsh, what part of following a lawful order would you have the problem with?

I couldn`t possibly comment on that ... without another carpeting ...

Where does it say standing in a stinking pisher is a lawful order. Thats kinda the point of my question ? Speaking hypothetically as you are fond of it. Suppose someone were abused as a child ... and was told you're going to be a monitor ? puts them in a awkward position ? they have to say NO ! and then gets asked to explain why ??? ... I see a court case looming ...

SB ... Your a funny guy thats why I`m gonna kill you last.

Anyway you know what I watch you sent me the video clips ...top ladies ... Bless em !

Guys the original question has kind of been answered. Drugs is an emotive subject in the military.

Drifting far too way off subject, turning into a chat. Drugs are sh!t. We don't do them.
