Can't answer "service specific" questions but know Benbecula and it's attached islands quite well.

Shopping is easier than you might expect - Balivanich has a very well stocked supermarket and there's not an awful lot these days that you can't get there. There's also a decent butcher/baker not far away, and the co-op a little further off generally fills the few gaps that McLennans (supermarket) still has. Other shopping - clothes etc, is mostly done by mail-order/online or on mainland trips. The exception is, bizarrely, sports equipment - there's a decently stocked sports store. No idea what specific sports it covers, though.

The Islands themselves are quite stunningly beautiful - and also quite incredibly quiet. If you're after a busy social whirl, nightclubs, and dancing, then it most definitely isn't the place for you. However if you're after stunning beaches to walk on, peace, quiet, and something totally different to the usual way of life, then it might suit you quite well. If you've got any more questions about the place itself rather than specific to the camp, feel free to ask and I'll try to help.
