Everyone - I just registered and it prompted me to say hello. So...hello.

I'm an ex-USAF airman. I'm an American living in Annapolis, Maryland USA. I was in the service from 1988 to 1992, and spent my enlistment at Torrejon Air Base (Madrid, Spain), Aviano Air Base (Italy) and one loooong year at air bases in Daharan, Saudi Arabia and Doha, Qatar during the first Gulf War.

I'm currently a police officer in Maryland.

Welcome in. Be prepared for some spam-bashing (in good fun) and I hope you as much fun in here as we do. The Brit serviceman's sense of humour may seem a bit twisted here and there, very black usually, but you'll get used to it.

I noticed the good humor in a Brit police forum where I am a member as well. Damn hard to understand at times. You guys ever try speaking English?

My family orginates (back in the 1700's) entirely from Wales. So I guess besides being an American, a good laugh can be had at my expense for being Welsh as well.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Doubly damned! May I point out sir we do speak English, you merely adopted it!

A Welsh decendant calling the English for our language???

The Welsh have no room to talk. They just speak "Obblygobbly"

"Come by yer...............let me tell you a question"!!!

Welcome young man. Pull up a sandbag.

Will do, grumpyoldb. Sounds as if I have alot to learn.

To be honest, I don't speak Welsh and only made my first trip to the homeland in September of this year. Not to mention spending a wonderful two weeks in London, Windsor, Startford-upon-Avon and Derbyshire.

Lovely country.

Ahh derbyshire? did you know that is where god first thought of heaven? He created Derbyshire and liked it so much he made heaven an exact copy.

Oh by the way I hail from Derbyshire myself:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Welcome to the goat have a laugh and don't be offended, that's the ladies job:PDT_Xtremez_14:

We actually spent most of our time in Derbyshire. My wife and I stayed with a friend and his wife. Went to a Rams match - fantastic. Spent a day in Bakewell. Walked around haunted Derby at night. Drank a bit....and a bit more.

Actually my second trip to Derbyshire. The first was in February, 2004. A bit wet that week.:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Loved it all.

Greetings Airman, Im sure we have crossed paths before :PDT_Xtremez_15:

Derbyshire eh? Thats up north somewhere I believe. Next time you visit Airman, come to the west country and imbibe copius amounts of cider (the rougher the better). No, its not the sh1te girls apple juice that you call cider, that I drank in Florida last year either, propper stuff.

Tell you what Airman, all you've got to do now is slag off the c0ck monkey running your country and you're onto a winner.

Oh yeah - welcome to the Goat. :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Thanks for the welcome. I won't dwell on the slanderous remark about my president and will concentrate on the cider of the west country. Didn't have any, but where exactly is the west country?

I spent some time in a nice little town called Shrewsbury. Is that west or too far north?

Sure did. I think the proper name is Pordenone. Stayed there on several trips. Being in the Air Force, we didn't sleep in tents while we at our forward training base. They put us up in hotels. Caught the train there to Venice and Rome about a half dozen times. (Puked all over that town as well.)

Did you have training there or were you just visiting?
