Was in the RAF from June 1953 - April 1958. An Ex "Bratt " stationed at Wittering, 49 Squadron. Did a trip to Aussie on the "A" bombs tests, ended up at Honnington again on Valiants.

Serious accident and I was medically discharged after 11 months in RAF Ely Hospital.

Join Pye Telecom later in 1958, took a 4 year HND. Retired in 2002 from Marconi where I managed their Middle East and African Sales / marketing for Marconi Italian manufactured non tactical Mobile Radio systems. During my career I lived in Kenya, Uganda and Dubai. There is a lot more I could say,but it would make my Arthritic hands ache.

Wishing ALL of you safe & successful tours of duty wherever this moronic Government sends you. Lets hope the UK does not send you brave Men and Women to Syria, you have done enough !

Cheers

Welcome, pull up a sandbag and join in the banter.

I was starting to think the same thing. This place is turning from E-Goat to E-Meldrew. Can't you all just sit quietly in the corner and let us young 'uns with rose-tinted specs get on with our fun without endless renditions of 'weren't like this on our day'?

But welcome anyway!
