Hi all

I am a dependant and I am paying £150 every month for BUPA and this is supposed to be with the RAF discount. I was just wondering if anyone else was paying this much, as it seems very high?

Is that just for you or some kids as well?

My company pay for me but I can add a spouse of dependant at my own cost. When I looked into it the cost was around £45 a month.

Needless to say she's roughing it with the rest of the NHS....:PDT_Xtremez_14:

My Dad is getting on and having just lost the reason for needing his health sorting quick he is thinking about giving up his BUPA.
Having been a member since the early 90's it's still costing him over £150 a month in premiums, something as a single pensioner he is struggling to justify which is why he's thinking of going back to the NHS
So depending on your cover level £150 sounds about the norm

Me and the missus, top spec cover, essentially bypass the NHS waiting lists once we have a referral, comes to £54 a month. Will have to check the provider.

Depends on the Company, some will subsidise the cover others will just have a group discount, I've just extended cover for the family, £150 a month BUPA Gold, but my Company subsidise (global excluding travel to the US, but does include winter sports).

Once you've gone private it's hard to go back to the NHS.

Once you hit 65 cover gets expensive as they just don't want you on the books anymore.
