Just had a good experience with Blackcircles.com.

It's the first time I've gone down this route to get new tyres fitted. Here's how it works (for those who don't already know).

Choose your tyres
Choose a fitting centre
Turn up at agreed time and get them fitted

Ordered the tyres on Wednesday afternoon, went in first thing this morning (Friday). 2 spanking Pirelli P6000s for £109.86. £78 quid each at Kwik-Fit.

I'm well pleased with the whole experience and would recommend anyone to give it a go.

If anyone's interested then PM and I will refer you for a 5% discount.

absolutley brilliant!

I got 2x Michelin Energy 205/55/ r16s for £140!

KWIK FIT wanted £140 for just one tyre.

again you can choose a fitting station or have them delivered.

P&P is free to and VAT included.

Can thoroughly recommend Mytyres, have used them numerous times. Rather than pay their partner garages for fitting I have found tame MTSS types appreciate a few quid!

Can I suggest that when asking MTMS personnel for favours you don't mistakenly remind them that their trade is dead and they are now just a bay in GEF not a seperate Section. And also that no matter how hard they kick and scream they will be dragged up a Trade Group, after all it's the cross dressing they do with the GEF lads that gets them into the higher pay band, otherwise they would just be the Drivers b1tches forever.

It hurts their feelings quite badly.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

I was told by the owner/manager of our local garage that tyres have an 18 month shelf life. Each tyre has its size, speed rating, etc embossed on the side. Also, there is an alpha-numeric code which gives location of manufacturer, date and other technical data. Unsold tyres are cleared when their sell by is up. Also, car makers send vehicles out with basic cheapies on and these are changed when they get to the dealerships. Sometimes the new owner will specify a particular tyre that they want fitted. All the 'out-of-date' or 'barely used' tyres end up at budget outlets. He told me that he could have 2 'identical' tyres on the bench, but one would be £25 cheaper. Yer gets what yer pays for. He could have been drumming up custom for himself by putting doubt in my mind, but I think I believe him.

Plastics and rubbers do degrade but 18 months seems to be a little quick for my likes, I'd hate to say he's got his wife and kids to feed and you to rip off.

back on topic used blackcircles.com and had a great set of new tyres, a major brand for about 40 pound a corner.

Unless you live in Northern Scotland 'cos they don't come up this far; and it doesn't mention it on the website or at any point through the ordering process however you will get a phone call asking if you can travel 4 hours south to get them fitted. I turned them down. :PDT_Xtremez_19:

Black Circles Feedback

Black Circles Feedback

Used this company 3 times this year, ordered once for a relative, and I must admit not had a single problem, more than that always had a good service.

Well worth it, and having checked prices they are normally quite a bit cheaper, and in relation to the old tyre story above, my last tyres were the latest Firestones so were not old stock.
