The family and I are looking to jump across the pond with our car to north France, go as far south as Paris for about 10 days. Just want to see if anyone has any advice,:

done it before,

routes to take,

Campsites to go (family ones/take your own tent).

We aim to spend a couple/few days at each campsite, ones with big play areas/showers/pools/entertainment, well established.

Have had a look around the net for books also, does anyone have any advice on the best one, i see the AA are about to release a new one, the previous one however did not get great reviews.

Cheers

I used to live in France but down the south. Couldn't stand Paris at all, but loved the french countryside. Now this is going back 20 years but the roads used to be excellent and the vin rouge very cheap, but I did live in a wine growing area. A couple of times I was in northern France I seemed to keep on finding WW1 cemeteries, very humbling. Bon Voyage et bon vacance mon ami....... PS if you don't parlez don't worry too much all essentials can be pointed at......lol
