Capello resigns

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Now I wonder which not guilty bloke will step in....................? :PDT_Xtremez_31:

Old satchel face? Oh joy. Let's see if he can bankrupt the country like he did at Portsmouth? Sorry been done already and not a brown envelope in sight!

Italian in charge of our national squad, or an Englishman??? Hmmm...... difficult one that!

I personally think that it was the only thing Capello could have done. FA backed themselves into a corner by not involving him in the decision to take the armband from Terry.
I am guessing the majority of England fans will be glad that he is gone and the call will now be for Harry Redknapp to take charge of the friendlies then Euro 2012, but I can't see him resigning when Spurs are doing so well in the league. I think he will manage the few friendlies England have coming up then resign from Spurs at the end of the season. I wonder if the FA would have been so quick to accept Fabios resignation if the jury had came back with a guilty verdict this afternoon, I think not.
Can't have an alleged racist as captain, you certainly can't have a someone who dodges the taxman as manager. Then again...

Stuart Pearce as caretaker until the premiership season is over then it's Harry's job fulltime in June for the Euro's and Pyscho then moves over to run the Olympic team in July.

Not a bad shout that. Could still see Harry getting involved in some way before the games against Holland, Norway and Belguim. Even if it is just behind the scenes. Maybe have a word with Pyscho with what players he would like to see in the 25 for the friendlies.

I've also seen speculation that Roy Hodgson and Alan Pardew could be possibilities? Or even as a wildcard, The Special One?

Whoever gets the job, it would be nice to see an England team play an attacking game, instead of go score a goal and then settle into defense.

If we`re gonna go down the road of breaking the bank, i`d have The Special One. He can certainly motivate a group of very good players up a level, whereas `Arry can only motivate average up to good. (That and fill his own bank account, obviously.)

Is football a sport and who is Capello,

I am reminded of Hemingway, who said that "There are only two sports: motor racing and bull fighting. Everything else is just a game."

But HR looks to be the right choice for the next Englandshire manager.

Studley. I'll stfu

Is it just me or does anybody else think the FA are left looking like a bunch of clowns?

First they overturn the underpinning basic principle of British law……innocent until proven guilty. John Terry is accused of racism, not guilty of it……yet. Then they censure and undermine the team manager, for exercising his right to free speech, leaving him with no option other than to quit.

Does FA now stand for ‘’funking arses’’?

I am thnking more strategically here...This is a concerted effort to provide a suitable excuse for when our team of overpaid prima donnas yet again underperform and end up not making it out of the group stages...The FA realise it's the same fecking bunch that essentially have been letting us down through a lack of grit, determination, skill and 'heart' for a decade and they'll fair no better this summer....

so now when it happens they can lay the blame firmly on Capello for resigning just before the Euro's.

Redknapp says he'll only do the job for the euros..... As long as they're used and untracable.

Good to see the ever "patriotic" sun doing its usual hatchet job on the interim manager by digging up an 18 year old story. Cnuts

Shearer is sticking his oar in saying that we have no chance in the Euro's this summer...apparently without a manager the players who get paid more in a week than most of us get paid in 3-4 years will suddenly forget how to play football and drop to a skill level of a Sunday league player...I think if we capped their day job wages and only allowed them to earn rock star figures if they got into the England team you may see their appetite for successful international campaigns return...I don't think wearing the 3 lions is enough.
