Following his sheer joy and happiness at his beloved Sunderland's promotion to the premiership Capt Slog made a bet with myself he said

""Bottle of red (or in your case brown), says that we (Sunderland) will have 20 points before 10 other premiership teams":PDT_Xtremez_42:

So am I going to have to buy him a reasonably priced bottle of red or are there four cans of beer coming my way? So far 6 teams have reached the magic 20+ points total. Arsenal, Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Blackburn and Liverpool whilst Sunderland have only 9.

Never count your Tetleys before they are poured Tb, we have got 3 easy games coming up against Man City, the Black & White sh1tes and the Toffee Scousers, that will give us 18 points – one more win and you will be forking out for a bottle of Merlot.

By the way, good result against Spurs, that keeps them where they belong – below us in the league.

PSBM just giving the pot a small stir in the interests of banter. The good Capts lot will stay up I reckon so that will be a good season for him. The mighty Stanley will never reach such dizzy heights in my lifetime. As for buying vino wouldn't have a clue what's good and what's not.
 
The bad news for the good captain is there will be at least one more team on 20 points this weekend. Portsmouth on 19 play Newcastle on 17. Any result there gives a team on 20!:PDT_Xtremez_31:

Add to this that...
Villa v Derby
West ham v Bolton

and thats Villa on 18 and the hammers on 17:PDT_Xtremez_42:(sorry didnt mention that West Ham then play Derby the following week, surely thats 20!!!)

The good Capt has paid up early what a stirling chap. Something to do with his lot only having 9 points at the moment but 7 teams have already reached the 20 point milestone. My next job is to do my bit for recycling of used cans.
