Capt Tom unwell

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Putting aside our little game of dying celebs.

Capt Tom is not well seems the old boy has covid and pneumonia and at his age that is not good. NHS super fund raiser and all that, chin up old chap many many folks will be wishing you all the best. You do have to wonder how on earth he got Covid as a very senior gentleman he presumably was shielding for many months.

Fingers crossed for his speedy recovery.... He has been such a positive example in a world & time when so many have been full of doom & gloom. I hope he can show the world that he aint beaten yet!

I wonder why his family took him to Barbados over Christmas on the FREE holiday he (they) was given by British Airways. They sure got their priorities right!

100 years old and suffering with pneumonia for 2 weeks before going to Hospital to then catch Covid. I sincerely hope he picks up but it does not sound overly promising.

Raised 30 odd million for the NHS, made a honorary Colonel, Knighted and a number 1 Single, at 100 years of age what's left to do.

Sadly reports are coming in that he has passed.

RIP Sir.

When the Country needed hope, inspiration and sheer integrity, step forward Capt Tom.
God Bless Sir. You did us proud.

BBC obituary for Capt Tom.

He shows a talent for understatement. Speaking about the end of the war in Europe "on VE Day, there were certain activities in the bar" just certain activities not massive celebrations or drunken mess antics just certain activities.

Here is hoping that every military ensign and colour along with local and central government flags are at half mast today.
