I thought it could have been a GRP conversion kit as the back seems to slope in a bit too much for the standard vdub. Plus all the edges seem to be quite rounded as with a moulded shape.

That picture comes up if you "Google" Fiat Amigo, but non of the other photos have a rear quarter light or as long panel behind the? radiator vent.

I remember now , the vehicle I was thinking of is the Barkas , East Germany az woz .
Looks very like it .
Perhaps they bought old FIAT tooling .

I was thinking that or a Russian "Gaz" but its neither.
