For once a thread reference another good point that UK Force do not get enough recognition for - namely charity events.

Over the years I been involved with several charity events. Have done the London 10k run, did the London marathon years ago, parachute jump, bungee jumps, pulling various aircraft etc.

My main contendee for funds has always been the NSPCC and I am again looking at trying something new.

So my question to all is - anyone got any decent original ideas of what I could participate/organise that catches the eye and is fun for all involved. In these days of manpower shortages etc don't really want something that is days long or involves too much planning.

I sit back and await your inspiration.

How about, only applies if you cant ride already, setting up a crash course horse riding school over a few weekends or after work, and having a mini gymkhana at the end of it.

Just a silly idea we did for riding for the disabled a few years ago - get some people involved who are well known - on camp, your boss something like that, we had the local mayor and so on.
