I saw on the telly the other day there is an Internet campaign to make the new Rage against the machine single number one instead of the X factor song. I have no idea what that song is or who won but I do know it will be a bad remake of a classic probably. I don't think Rage against the machine is the best idea for Christmas but Simon Cowell is apparently upset so I'm buying it anyway, is anyone with me?

No-one has won yet(I don't think) but the kids tell me the song is going to be something previously done by Miley Cyrus alias Hannah Montana( a kids tv character apparently)

Bugger that I would rather have the Muppets bring Bohemian Rhapsody back to life for a 3rd time Xmas No. 1

Does anybody really care who the Christmas number one is?

The charts these days is full of talentless crap and karaoke artists. I think I would struggle to name a single record that is in the current top 20 because the music that I listen to very, very rarely enters the charts.

At least Simon Cowell didn't go through with his original idea of allowing the 'winner' of X-factor to slaughter Journey's Don't stop believing!

Listening on Snec FM last week, Noddy Holder has said he will stand naked on the roof of braodcasting house if Merry Christmas everyone gets to Number 1 this year.

Mr Cowell seems to be having a sense of humour failure over it though. Even more reason to do it I say.

If only this were real:

I detest x-****** and all other reality TV crap. Anyone who watches it, let alone goes out and buys any of the tat that is produced by the tasteless sausage factory is a grade A ******

It really is a festive track. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I look forward to hearing it on the radio a bit more often now.

I'd like to congratulate Sony BMG for racking up loads of sales by making number 1 & 2 on the Christmas chart, especially since number one came from a free marketing campaign, ching ching!

The Geordie Shirtlifter will be No 1 next week.. Oh the Scottish Hag with the predetor lips making Cowell a lot of money since, rules the album charts..
RATM will disappear from the charts next week IMHO.

Funny though! Mrs Ashley Cole must be gutted!!

(I brought "Killing in the name", but my daughter likes it anyway, she can have it because I think its tosh!):PDT_Xtremez_30:

gutted

gutted

I think Mr Cowell is kicking himself...........He wished he thought up the idea.
They will both have sold hundreds of thousands, as far as RATM are concearned they never even had to pay anything out! I foresee a similar rage against the system next year.

Instead of 350,000 sales X factors done about 450,000 and there is always next week?

Cowell's so loaded a few extra hundred grand is meaningless to him.
He is however a huge publicity whore with a penchant for being in control.

I suspect he's a bit p1ssed off.

Rage winning has made my Christmas anyway, up yours Cowell the music appreciating public have served you up your own arse and deflated ego on a platter! enjoy:PDT_Xtremez_19:

From what I've read elsewhere, Cowell is a major shareholder in Sony BMG which is the record label that both RATM and that soft Geordie **** are signed up to, so it was a win-win for him anyway.
