As the title says, has one got any pros/cons over the other, 2 years to being a civvy, so suppose I better get some sort of course done. I'm also too long in the tooth to get the reduced CILT course through Halton.
Did my NVQ 4 in Supply Chain Management last year. It depends on wether you are going to be more practical or assignement based. The way I understand is that CILT is more assignment based I could be wrong and hopefully some one else will shed a bit more light. But I found my NVQ easy with the right advisor she was very good. She owns her own buisness and suggested that the 4 of us who were doing it should be looking at 30k upwards for that level of qualification plus our experience which most of us gain during numerous years.
CILT level 5 mate. When ever I talk to people at the mo about courses for our trade related to civvy street they all talk of CILT level 5. I had a chat with some flt lt who works with the TS at Halton and he also said it was the best thing to do at the mo... both for serving and after.

Just a different angle on this. If you've got two years left, try and get as many courses done as possible and don't put limits on yourself. Is logistics something that you really want to do post RAF life? You never know, you might find something beyond your expectations.
I have just signed up to the CILT Advanced Diploma level 6 being run at RAF Halton over 11 weekends.
I have used my ELC as the course is approx £1600 so will only cost me £320. Their is a DIN about it, not got it to hand, it is open to all Logisitcs trades SNCO and above, hurry though the closing date is 31 Jul.
I agree with RAf Bird if you want a career in Logs post RAF then CILT is the way ahead.
