Hi Shiny bods, just a quick question about actual claims.
Is it ok to add a gratuity to a bill and claim it back, and if it is, to what is the max %?

Since i'm on a course i looked this up before i left. The max is 10% but i dont think that means you can claim 10% over your DS.

To that end is there any truth in the rumour that DS is now an average over said time period? i.e. claiming 10 quid one day and 40 quid another day???

My understanding is that you can claim for tips up to 10% of the cost of your meal so long as the total you claim does not exceed your daily rate.

DS can be aggregated i.e. spend 10 one day and 35 the next so long as the total you claim does not exceed the total that you are entitled to for that period.

Boarding school couldn't tell you
