Finally got to see Coldplay, one of my fave-rave bands, at the Old Trafford cricket ground last night supported admirably by White Lies and Jay-Z. Fantastic performance from Coldplay with an excellent set, fireworks, 60 bazillion paper butterflies fired into the air and a short 'interval' where the band left the main stage to do kind of improv set on a small stage at the back.
Great stuff all round and the usual understated self-effacing performance from Chris Martin, none of the strutting arrogance you get with other bands.

Nice one, I'm off to see Zero 7 at the Plug in Sheffield on Oct 3 and the Reverend and the makers at the Engine Shed in Lincoln. I'll do review.

Reverend and the Makers supported Oasis at Heaton Park, filling in for The Enemy who had a sickie! Top band, very underrated IMHO.

I went to see Coldplay at the NIA in December, all I can say is they were fecking awesome. Tried to get tickets for the last date at Wembley, but alas was too slow.
