I am on my way home after 10 months traveling. Feel kind of funny now that the moment has finally arrived to pack up and leave South America. Have had some great times, some not so great, but generally I have been amazed by the kindness and generosity of those that I have met along the way. I have been really impressed by the attitude of the "youth" of today that we all moan about. Many of the young Brit travelers I have met are getting out of their comfort zones and expanding their knowledge and skills. I have (I hope) encouraged at least one to join the RAF, and a few others are looking into it. There is hope for the future if the people I have met are anything to go by!

Next stop is Buenos Aires, and then Heathrow. Not looking forward to that at all.

PS. My next trip is planned already. Start the whole thing again 01 Oct 08! Can't wait to get going!

PPS. Was going to call this thread "Coming Home," but I don't think I have a home anymore!

Thing is POB the young people you met are probably from the top 5% of British kids intelligence, family support and commonsense wise. It is the bottom 5% that make the newspapers unfortunately.
